Choosing the superior Pinnacle grade means paying at least $66,950 for the CLE 300 4Matic Cabriolet and $76,450 for the CLE 450 4Matic Cabriolet. This model comes with the features mentioned above, as well as other goodies. It has Digital Light with Projections, a Parking Package with a 360-degree camera system, MBUX augmented reality for navigation, MBUX Entertainment Plus, a head-up display, and Guard 360 with Picture-Taking Functionality.
Picking up the CLE 450 4Matic Cabriolet means living with a 3.0-liter turbo’d unit that kicks out 375 horsepower (380 ps/280 kW) between 5,800 and 6,100 rpm. This mill churns out 369 pound-foot (500 Nm) of torque from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm and comes with the same integrated starter generator as the 300 4Matic, making an identical 23 hp (23 ps/17 kW) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm). The three-pointed star says it is two seconds quicker to 60 mph, and the top speed is identical at 130 mph.
As for the fixed-roof variant, the CLE Coupe, it is available in the same configurations as the open-top version. Pricing for the CLE 300 4Matic Coupe starts at $56,500 in the Standard and $59,100 in the Pinnacle trim level, and for the punchier CLE 450 4Matic Coupe, interested parties will have to fork out at least $65,650 and $68,250, respectively. All prices exclude the $1,150 destination charge, as well as the optional gear and dealer fees.
The lineup is bound to expand with additional versions, including the range-topping Mercedes-AMG CLE 63 (S E Performance?) that is currently in the making.
